Meet the Team
Dr. Hunter Schaff
Dr. Hunter Schaff didn't just choose chiropractic, he experienced its life-changing power firsthand. Growing up in Bethel Park, Hunter was an active teenager who loved football, wrestling, biking, and skateboarding. But years of contact sports took their toll. By high school, chronic neck pain became so severe that he couldn't participate in football practice. Traditional athletic treatments like ice and electrical stimulation provided no relief.
Everything changed after one visit to a chiropractor. Within months of care, Hunter was back on the field at 100%, and he's been under regular chiropractic care ever since. That personal transformation ignited a passion that would shape his entire career.
Education & Advanced Training
Doctor of Chiropractic | Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, IA (2018)
Palmer College is the founding institution of chiropractic and remains the profession's gold standard for education.
Diplomate in Chiropractic Philosophic Standards (DPhCS) | Palmer College of Chiropractic (2025)
Dr. Schaff completed over 330 hours of advanced study and successfully defended his doctoral thesis, "Non-Linear Dynamics of Vertebral Subluxation," which bridges classical chiropractic principles with modern complexity science. This prestigious credential is held by fewer than 1% of practicing chiropractors.
Post-Doctoral Training in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP)
Dr. Schaff has completed 90 hours of general certification coursework plus examination, and all 180 hours of advanced certification training in Structural Rehabilitation through the CBP certification program. He is a dues-paying member of the Chiropractic BioPhysics Non-Profit, the research organization that has published the most peer-reviewed studies on spinal correction in the profession.
Professional Journey
After graduating from Palmer in 2018, Dr. Schaff practiced in Branson and St. Louis, Missouri, as well as Chicago, Illinois. During those years, he witnessed the limitations of conventional chiropractic care firsthand: patients experienced temporary symptom relief, but not the lasting, structural change he knew was possible.
Determined to provide something better, Dr. Schaff pursued advanced training in Chiropractic BioPhysicsβthe most research-intensive approach to spinal correction available. Since 2020, he has specialized exclusively in Precision Structural Correction, focusing on measurable, objective improvements in spinal alignment rather than short-term symptom management.
In 2025, Dr. Schaff and his wife welcomed their first child, a daughter, and decided to return home to the South Hills of Pittsburgh to raise their family near loved ones. He opened Structural Chiropractic in Bethel Park with a clear mission: to bring evidence-based structural correction to his hometown community.
Why Precision Structural Correction?
"I wasn't satisfied with temporary improvement," Dr. Schaff explains. "Any natural improvement in health is admirable, but I wanted to see real, life-changing correction from my work."
His approach blends contemporary research in spinal correction with each patient's individual health goals to create a precise blueprint for care. Rather than chasing symptoms, Dr. Schaff focuses on correcting the underlying Structural Abnormalities that cause Secondary Conditions to develop in the first place.
Philosophy Rooted in Science & History
Dr. Schaff's pursuit of the DPhCS credential reflects his deep appreciation for chiropractic's philosophical roots. "Early chiropractors had profound insights from the clinical phenomena they were witnessing," he says. "When you couple that historical perspective with today's scientific research, you gain a much broader appreciation for what maintaining spinal structure can do for human life and health."
This blend of evidence-based practice and principled care defines his approach. He doesn't just treat backs, he helps patients understand how structural shifts in the spine can affect everything from digestion and blood pressure to balance, mobility, and overall function.
Real Results, Real Lives Changed
Dr. Schaff has witnessed remarkable transformations in his patients, including improvements in:
Eyesight and kidney function
Blood pressure and heart rhythm irregularities
Chronic digestive issues
Fibromyalgia and chronic pain syndromes
Extremity pain like shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle, and feet
Balance problems and muscle weakness
Mobility limitations
Pregnancy comfort
Scoliosis progression
"There is still so much we're learning about the detrimental effects of Structural Abnormalities and the benefits of correcting or maintaining proper spinal alignment," Dr. Schaff notes. "Seeing these improvements in my patients in real time is the most rewarding aspect of my work."
Life in Bethel Park
When he's not in the office, Dr. Schaff enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their Cavapoo, Mabel, whoβs named after Mabel Palmer, the "First Lady of Chiropractic." A lifelong Bethel Park resident, he loves being outdoors, working in the yard, hiking around town, grabbing coffee, and cheering on the Steelers and Pirates.
Having grown up playing football and wrestling on the same fields and mats where local kids play today, Dr. Schaff understands the community he serves.
